Kathryn M. Franklin, Ph.D. is a seasoned consultant, speaker, facilitator, trainer, coach and author.  She specializes in increasing organizational effectiveness through PEOPLE – from the strategic to the individual level.  Dr. Franklin is an expert in work/life balance and stress management issues with an emphasis on improving performance in all personal domains and the bottom line.  She is the author of Surviving on the Fast Track…While Enjoying the View which has guided thousands to greater personal wellness, and has shared her wisdom in keynote addresses, workshops, and articles and on both television and radio.

 

Over the course of her 20+ year career as a Social Psychologist and management consultant, Dr. Franklin has parlayed her talents in diverse industries in a number of leadership positions including strategic planning, marketing, organizational development, community engagement, and fundraising.  Her previous experiences include launching a major innovative worksite wellness program for PricewaterhouseCoopers, increasing the accessibility to affordable health care for underserved residents at Rhode Island’s oldest community health center, significantly expanding the local literacy impact of Barnes & Noble, Inc., and counseling countless corporate, government, non-profit, and academic clients on business and organization strategy issues both as a member of Mercer Management Consulting and as the principal of her own consulting firm. 

 

Dr. Franklin received a Ph.D. and M.S. in Social Psychology with a minor in Quantitative Methods from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and an A.B. in Psychology from the University of Michigan.  She was also a Visiting Student at Harvard University.
